Covid-19 Response Campaign

As Senior Art Director at Starbucks, I worked with a task team of reactive and responsive creatives to bring quick-turn information to customers during the ambiguity of COVID-19. I worked nimbly to produce real-time crisis response content across social platforms that nurtured positive customer sentiment/brand equity while also clearly communicating store closures, openings, and modified operations. The overall goal of the series was to provide warmth and reassurance to customers in a Starbucks authentic way by utilizing:

  • emotional, human-first tone

  • clear and explicit type treatments

  • Brand-recognizable imagery

  • approachable, hand-drawn digital illustration

  • bite-sized information

My role: concept, design, and illustration. All work created with my copywriting partner, Lea Bouma.

Starbucks Crisis
